DISH Network will be making a number of announcements today regarding the Hopper and Joey, and of course you can count of SatelliteGuys to bring you details first!

Because the details will be coming from a DISH Retailer Chat, the news and information will first be posted the Retailer Recap thread which can be found by CLICKING HERE.

After the chat is over we will be working to port the meat and potatoes of the Hopper information here to our Hopper forum!

Scott, I am thinking I might be reading this wrong, but how many joeys are included is it one Joey, then after that seven dollars per month after the first joey

I read it to say $6 for the hopper +$4 for whole house +$7 per joey or $31 total per month for 1 hopper and 3 joeys including all recorder fees, whole house fees, etc.

Well not quite.

It is $6 for a DVR fee, just like now with a DVR in the mix
plus $4 for the whole home functionality ( D* charges $3 for this too )
Then $7/Joey and/or Hopper beyond the 1st box.

Yes that is more a programming access fee then anything.

They should just have a combined $10.00 whole home/dvr fee... keep it simple

I agree. Its was done that way just because the way their systems are setup.
