Hopper defaulting to "My HD Channels"

For the last few weeks, my Hopper has been defaulting to "My HD Channels" instead of remaining on "My Channels". It's a pain resetting it all the time. Tried power cord reset, don't help. Just wondering if this is happening to any one else.

My problem is the exact opposite...Well sort of opposite.

Mine keeps defaulting to My Channels instead of the Custom Favorites list. I ahve also tried the Power Cord Reset 2 times with no resolution.

Set it on the list you want it on, and set the default list to that as well. Once set in the guide, pull the power cable. Wait 10 seconds, plug back in. That has been the fix for the issue in the recent past.

I notice at night I set mine on my custom list, and the next day it is back on the generic one. I thought this was normal behavior.

It should stop doing that if you do the work around.

Ah, did not know that. Never understood why they couldnt just leave it on your custom list.

I constantly think of the people who are not engaged in the technical side of Dish. What do they do? They have no idea of all of the little "fixes" to various problems

They basically suffer until they are lucky enough to run into "techo-geeks" like us to "show them the light"...

Thanks for posting a workaround. I'll give it a try tonight. Suffering from same problem on one of my HWS boxes.

Got S520 a couple of days ago. It seems to of fixed the problem so far. Funny thing is, my Bedroom Hopper never had this problem. If it starts acting up again, I will try ChadT41's work around.
