Hopper Plus & Joey 4 Install Question

My daughter in Texas has one Hopper 3, three J3s, & three WJs. Any installers out there have a guess what Dish would charge her to install a Plus & swap out all Joeys to Joey 4 models?

Why not just ask them to send the new hardware and let you do a self install. It is not difficult.

ummm we bought all of our boxes and they installed everything free.. the only time we paid was when i got another joey 4 and i charged it to my dish bill... and that was 100.00 and on the bill it says owned receiver.. and they moved us at no charge. we never paid to have hardware installed!! we do have the protection plan as well..

the joey 4 is $100.00 each to own
the hopper+ is $100.00 to own
to lease it we were told $50.00 for the joey 4 and the hopper+
we have the protection plan we were never charged for them to swap out the joeys when we upgraded..
i charged mine to my dish bill and it pops up as a owned receiver don't say wich joey it is!!!

Got no J3, certainly not owned. And they TOOK THE OWNED J1! NBD since it was useless.

Ended up going down to the single H3, no Joeys. Dropped the Protection Plan (doesn't that sound threatening?). Had already dropped locals. Dropped down to 120 plan. Still paying ~$120 or so.

$35 for DTV MyEntertainment.

After the fiasco with our joey 4 and them sending us a 4k joey.. i think i will stick to solid signal and spend a few bucks atleast i know what i'm getting and avoid the clown shows . and just call in to do a box swap if i ever have to!!! the guy did take the 4k joey with him since it was there's and i refused to pay for it since it wasn't what i ordered cool with me i don't want to get charged for something i didn't buy . we dropped down to the 120 as were not watching alot of tv only at night. and we will be dropping the protection plan once the freebiee is over!!! they didn't give us any issue about upgrading owned boxes what so ever. the the activation they got all sketched out since i told them i owned everything it seemed like they didn't like that idea. not gonna lie but that took two months to deal with until i pissed in there cheerios and made mountains move . but then again there prob used to people leasing everything vs owning i think they hate people that own there own stuff .one of the reps this one was out of AZ. he just had to know what advantages i had over owning vs leasing. i told him you want 150.00 for the hopper 3 and 50.00 for the joey. i told him i just used my cc rewards and paid zero he just about went through the roof ... worst call i ever had with em was trying to set up service. and when we had the upgrade done i was told the installer did not communicate with the gf what so ever only to try and upsell a wireless joey and she told him a joey 4. so a seat warmer somewhere screwed the work order up... even after explaining the joey with one button on top . they didn't want to give us a regular acct since we owned our own boxes!!! though i fought through it . we have one more 4k joey to replace with a joey 4 and i'm using solid signal!!!
