Zatznotfunny has reported FCC filings for new Joeys and possibly 2 new Hoppers….a Hopper Plus and an unnamed Hopper. Unfortunately, other than the existence of such coming hardware, no other details are given. Hmmmm, maybe our resident Dish gurus have more details they can share?

Joeys yes. New Hoppers no.

All’s I can say is stay tuned. It’s going to be a exciting time to be a dish customer. :)

The only thing worse than coming here and starting a rumor is for someone to substantiate the rumor, then provide no details. :)

In one way or another in my near 25 years with them it's always been more exciting, good and bad than with other providers. :biggrin ;)

Is this what you read? DISH Network Has New Set-Tops In The Hopper Scott, you've been called out!
Time will tell. And perhaps Scott G of SatelliteGuys will be willing to provide a few additional bread crumbs on these matters.

Okay, the new Joeys will be called Joey 5 and Joey 6. I have no way of knowing if those names are actually accurate, but hey, you wanted details! :p

There are worse things to be called than that. ;) :p

Make mine gluten-free, please!

Unfortunately, I no longer have any inside knowledge about new receivers or equipment that may be coming soon. I simply look at the uplink reports and read the tea leaves to report the stuff about new programming that I post here.

Hmmm... bread crumbs and tea leaves... suddenly I'm in the mood for brunch! :hungry

That Hopper Plus has me curious as hell! Scott says it's not a new Hopper. But what else could it be with such a name? Rebranded Hopper 2K with software that doesn't make it as slow as molasses?

I heard that the New Joeys are going to enable the previously hidden and undocumented hardware of the H3...wait...yes, the additional 240 tuners, to bring the total to 256. I can't wait.

I’m going to take a stab at this…..Hopper Plus. Dish takes the Hopper 3 (hence “ Hopper”) and adds an App Store to download most new streaming services ( the “Plus”). Finally making the Hopper a true stand alone home viewing/streaming hub.

Probably combines streaming along with with Dish Satellite, so kind of like a Roku/Firestick with Hopper capabilities???? MY GUESS anyhow.
Oh I Forgot too mention with HBO Max & Discovery + App.
