I switched from DirectTv a couple of months ago to dish network. 4 or so days ago, my hopper plus has lost power or signal and I have to unplug power cord, then replug power cord for it to come back on. This is happening several times a day. Anything I can do to fix this? Can my dish receiver and two other Joeys work with main receiver having hopper plus?

Id'e call dish since you have the protection plan at no charge for 6 months and tell them what's happening.. they might do a box swap... sounds like something internal is going on in the box...

they gave us the first 6 months at no cost!!! if they gave it to you 6 months at no cost id'e use it free box swaps and free in home tech visits
.. if your new they should have given it to you at no cost for 6 months. this crap is leased out over and over so who knows how many homes the box has been inid'e use it!!! i think it's something internal going on inside the box. some boxes have bad power supplies can't remember what ones off the top of my head
Just chatted with dish tech. Since its working right now, they can't send out a technician. Thinking seriously about going back to directv. We live in boonies, so no option for cable.
next time it flakes out on you id'e call em again!!! make notes of the time and day it does it's things.. why do you want the hopper plus that's just a glorified streaming box
kinda like the dtv gemini box... to be honest you would have been better off with a joey 4 wich is still an android box!!! i would also check the power supply at the back of the box to make sure it's in nice and tight also

Your hopper and joeys don't need the hopper plus to function...!!! what version of joey do you have and what version of the hopper do you have ??? i am also sure that this day and age you have a smart t.v. as well

If I take out the hopper plus box, will the joey's still work in the bedrooms? yes your joeys will still work in the bedrooms and you will still be able to record and watch shows as if you were in front of the hopper. only difference is depending on what joey you have you'll loose the android capabilities
Both Joeys are joey4's. Please excuse these stupid questions, but had directv for 30 years and am new to dish. What are the android capabilities?

the joey 4 will also do 4k HDR the 4k joey won't do HDR nor will it download apps
Next time it goes out, I will probably remove the plus then. Once I remove it, do I need to reset the hopper 3?
id'e unplug it and send it back to em!!! but that's just me!!! you should not have to reset the hopper after removing the hopper plus... though it sounds like you were upsold for crap that you don't need is all...
