Hopper Remote gone crazy

After swapping out a defective Hopper with another defective Hopper (second one would not recognize telco line and display Caller ID), we were about to watch a DVD. I pressed the TV button on the remote and the TV button flashed RED three times and then the DVD buton flashed RED. Now when I press the TV button it flashes RED 3 times and then the SAT button flashes Green.
The Mute and Volume work but I can not change the Input of the tV from the remote.
Looks like there is a programming link on the remote that links the tV to the last used function.

Any idea how to fix it.
BTW the remote manager function on the Hopper does not do anything.

It sounds like the remote is in limited mode. Try going to the remote manager and make sure limited mode is DISABLED.

That was it! Limited Mode must be the default. Not intuitively obvious to the most casual observer......

No problem! I'm sure this is done because the majority of people just use this for volume and power functions and it would cause a lot of calls to dish over people being on the wrong input by accident and unable to figure out how to get back.
