May've have been discussed/resolved - but, Mute Button 'bounces' or has a repeat built in, so that if pressed
it mutes then un-mutes - unless you push it really quick.
TV is 65 inch Visio -
Wondering why that button has it.
Anybody else experiencing it?
Got Dish to send new one and it does the same thing.

Try a different code for the remote. There are probably numerous different codes that run your TV.

You can go to this link, https://www.mydish.com/support/program-remote-to-tv , to get the Dish codes you need an try another remote code, if the one you have selected previously is not working. If you need more help send me a PM.

The correct code for current Vizio TVs is 1758 and is NEC1 protocol. Others could have too many repeats. If that doesn't fix it, learn Mute from the original remote.

The instructions linked are for older pre-Hopper remotes. So if you have an older remote, use those instructions, not my code above. Newer remotes use completely different codes.

Have noticed that issue many times in the field with Vizio's. Not sure any of the preloaded codes work better. Like you say, just push and release quickly.
