I am thinking you might have other issues if you are seeing those problems since the updates from the past few weeks did not touch anything on the box except updates for the security card system.

I am told nothing else has been touched.

I thought that their cards were secure. Is this a routine thing to keep them secure to make changes that they might find before anything happens or are there a few smart people out there that figured things out?

I got 528 on my Hopper and now it is telling me my external hard drive is incompatible and needs to reformat.. 900 gigabytes of movies missing is really going to make me mad.

Unplug the EHD. Next, unplug the Dvr. Now, plug the DVR back in. Now, after the DVR totally reboots, plug the EHD back in. What is the result?
