hey guys i was wondering if a hopper would still work if a node was not installed? like hooking it up direct to dpp33.
thanks

It will come on if that's what you are asking. However, you will be missing the 3rd tuner and you will get a switch error every time it starts up at which point you'll have wait approximately 5 minutes for it to complete. The node is required for additional band stacking from the LNB to accomodate the 3rd tuner.

another thing, is checkingswitch automatic? or does it have to be manually ran?
Im away from my house and my house is getting confused on how to check switch. I wondered if hard booting the receiver would automatically do a check switch.
