Plain City, OH
I just upgraded both of my Hopper3 receivers to software version U538.
I have not noticed any obvious changes. If anyone knows what this update addresses please share with everyone.

Only thing I've noticed so far is that the info banner stays up for 12 seconds after changing channels

LOL. We are still on U535! We don’t update until I see posts that something new has been added that we would like to try. Other than that, i don't believe in fooling with something that is working just fine as is.

Just got U538 and hate the long banner as well, especially since it blocks the top quarter of the screen. I think 5 sec. is more than enough time to verify what channel you have changed to. It gets really annoying if you use the recall button to switch back and forth between channels frequently. (And yes I know you can cancel the banner with an extra button push.)

I'm surprised, nobody else has noticed that. Our banner, stays up for 15 seconds. Not diggin it.
Oh I noticed it very quickly and disliked it from the beginning. Pushing Select makes it go away but a way to change it would have been nice.

Maybe I’ll stick with my HWSes.

Of course, that feature is probably coming my way no matter what.

When I use last/recall button I push the Play/Pause button since my thumb is directly below it to get rid of banner quickly.

Small change but they moved the "Caller ID" icon out of the "My Account" menu (it is it's own icon now).

Called Dish about the banner staying up for 15 secs. They said its our new feature and nothing we can do about it.
