...Florida State and Miami from the ACC!!!!

This has been talked about ALL morning in all the talk shows. The gist of the subject was, the SEC just had their big meeting and they do NOT want to be left behind with all this expansion.

Well, these would be a No Brainer .....

I never understood them not being in the SEC in the first place.

Nooo! I like the 12 team conference just like it is now.

Yep....and I would LOVE to stomp on some of those SEC teams too! LOL!

Except now you'll be part of the same SEC conference, so that means your going to have to start rooting for the SEC teams that play, whenever they play someone else, because as we well know form this forum, if your team is in the SEC and a SEC team wins the WHOLE Conference has won the game/championship.

See had you jumped in a few years back Miami would have had at least 2 more championships to their name !

NOPE. I am probably the ONLY person in here that does not give a ratz a$$ about conferences. I have rooted ALL year to kick your butt and suddenly, because MY team in not in a bowl and another team that I HATED IS in a bowl....I am supposed to root for you..??!!

Don't care. I root for my TEAM. ;)

Florida State and Miami match-up nicely against Vandy and Kentucky.:haha

I am going to guess Ga Tech and Clemson will be the other 2 schools invited.

EDIT: Rumor is Texas A&M and Va Tech have been invited to the SEC. WEIRD.

We'll probably wind up having two major college football conferences...they'll eventually merge...and wind up playing "The Big Game" just so commercial entities will have to stop referring to the Super Bowl as The Big Game when they're not paying the NFL $$$ to say the Super Bowl. ;)

Anyway, I root for my team but as a traditionalist I would like to see the conferences stay in tact, as much as possible, get rid of the BCS and go back to the old bowl system. But that train has left the station.

From 1986 to 2008, Miami won all six of the games between the schools, including victories in the 2001 Sugar Bowl and the 2004 Peach Bowl. Florida snapped its 23-year drought against Miami with a 26-3 win over the Hurricanes in 2008. The two schools are next scheduled to play in 2013

I don't know....looks to me that not ONLY have we matched well against the Lizards...but the Lizards have been our little bit**es!!!

FSU and Miami would be a great fit to the SEC. Both are teams rebuilding and will be beasts in years to come. I dont like the FSU coming into the SEC though because now itll be even harder for us to recruit against them.

The A&M part, might be to get Texas thinking twice about going to the Pac 10.

As a SEC fan I hope they expand but not in this direction.

This stuff is all about TV market shares and revenue streams not a geographic footprint.

The optimal situation would be adding Texas and Texas A&M.

If those two teams commit to the PAC 10 then SEC needs to look at Va Tech, Maryland,Missouri, and the likes.

Adding Clemson, Ga Tech, Miami and Florida State doesn't enrich the coffers or revenue streams.

Those teams are quality teams so it's not a knock on them just not what the SEC should be after now.

In a perfect World the SEC would snag 4 Teams

Texas, Texas A&M Missouri and Virginia Tech.

How does Texas and A&M fir into the South EAST conference, there is NOTHING EAST about them.
What would all the SEC chanters do if they CHANGED the conference NAME ?
