How did Pit Threads get into the Backroom?

First, I don't have or want Pit Access. Likewise, I'm not here for the Backroom and its supposed Adult content. For some reason the Backroom appears in my Pub Forum list.

Which is why I'm seeing threads show up in the listing as Unread. But instead of risqué pictures or jokes, it's a discussion about State Farm Insurance, or the National Debt. I think the Poster might have posted these in the wrong Forum, and meant them to be in the Pit.

Maybe one of the Moderators could help? My Inbox Zero OCD means I want to get to a point where I don't see Forums with Unread Content.

Says he joined in 2003, hardly a "rookie"… But it looks like he put the same thread in The Pit, so hopefully the thread in the Backroom gets locked or otherwise vanishes so it doesn't pollute the menus.

Just took a look and they are not really. pit threads (although they could easily cross into that way) yet are not really backroom topics either.

Will take another look when I wake up more and have my glasses on to make sure I am not missing something though.
