I have had DishNET for about 9 months now and it seems more crappy then usual. For the first few months of service I could connect to game servers and rubber band around with a terrible ping and stay connected. Now I cant even connect to Rockstar servers to download a patch for GTA V. Is there anyway I can check my signal strength on the HT1100?

Go into your modem.... 192.168.0.1.
Then click on system status at the top.

A good signal is anything from about 85 or higher.
103 is a good signal.
There are other factors though.
You need to contact dishnet and have someone look at your modem. They can look at it remotely and look at all the other numbers and info.
What firmware version are you running?

Is this the firmware info?
Application Software 3.2.0.26
Fallback Software 3.0.2.15

Yep, that is it.
You have the latest public firmware.
Also do one other thing. Connect your modem directly to your PC or Game Console and see if you are still having the issue.
If it goes away, it is time for a new router.

It still doesn't work with direct PC - Modem connection. Is signal strength and packet loss related directly to one another? It seems when I first got dish it had the same latency but my data packet loss wasn't as bad. I know Satellite is pretty much bottom of the barrel net, but should all Dish users be experience a grade: F on pingtest.net for stability testing lol? My ping is averaging like 1000 ms with a 400 ms jitter.

No they are not. Also ping should be a little better than that, but not much.
