How do I clear out my messages? Says I have reached my max.

When I send a message I get max reached and can not send, yet the bar shows 22%. how to I delete private messages?

Go through and tick the ones you want to delete and then select delete at the bottom.

Unless I'm being dense, "Delete" is not an option for selected Direct messages:

Yes its Leave Direct message to get rid of them.

The Direct Message feature of this software sucks. Its about the only thing I don't like about this software

Do you also need to select "Ignore future messages" to actually Delete the Direct Message?

I guess I "get" the concept of the Direct Message being a pool of content that other Users are invited to share. "Leaving" means you're no longer privy to be in the DM pool, but the DM pool does not disappear. So the other participants still have access to the DMs already shared.

I would imagine that the DM remains until all participants have left the thread. This is messy but I'm not sure there's any other non-liable way to handle it.

They remain even after all people leave the convo, this is why our database is so huge.

I have the option to remove all the messages from the database older then a set time, but some folks have saved messages they want to keep from beyond those times.

I have a few conversations in my own inbox from members who are no longer with us anymore on this Earth. I would like to keep those.

This is the reason why I don't allow attachments in conversations, as like the messages, the huge attachments never go away

As I said the conversation feature is the biggest issue I have with this software. It stinks.
