how do i get remote booking and networking to work?

I am using last week's ce and have the hr-250 700 (i think, it's the directv plus hd dvr). How do I get networking(media sharing) and remote booking to work?

The remote booking is on hold right now for new users but should be back soon.

I was under the impression that remote booking has been canceled, it doesn't matter what firmware version you have.
