This has probably been addressed before -- But why has Echostar/DISH been singled out? What is different between Direct and Dish? Our neighbors who get DirectTV haven't had any changes at all? How does Direct handle the networks that makes them exempt from prosecution? Surely they must have the same challenges and problems. I know that Direct and Fox are in it together - but that should not have exempted Direct from following the same standards. What is different?

Because D* came to an agreement wth the powers that be, while E* decided to go it's own way. E* is not being picked on, they brought this on themselves, and had the same opportunity D* had.

Dont worry they will transfer the cost back to the customer....untill they run themselves
out of business
