How many satellites, will I have to point at, to get all the possible programing in the Kansas City area? I now have a 500 looking at 110 and 119, and also a 500 looking at 61.5. I have received my Vip 622 and have a 4/23/06 install. Just wanted to be sure, so to make it go as smooth as possible.

You will most likely get a Dish 1000 since the KC HD locals are on 129. If I were you and you don't mind having 2 dishes, tell the installer that you want to keep your second dish and have him point that at the 129 satellite. You will get a better signal using the D500 on 129 than you would with a D1000. To answer your guestion, you will still need 3 satellite locations unless you want international channels then you might need 4.

I'm 50 miles west of Kansas City and the Dish 1000 works great in this area as long as the installer peaks 119. ( transponder 12 110&129-- 85 119--95. Peak transponders 119-123 110-103 129-100)
