Have 3 dvrs connected now and want to add a fourth dvr I have 3 lines in but all r in use can I split one line for the forth dvr or does it have to have it's own cable.

Depending on your situation, you may need to add a switch.... But I'll let the installers elaborate on that.

As per Bobby...If you have a 1000.2 or 1000.4 Dish, max receiver output is three. Four would require a DP34 switch.

A DPP 44 switch could also be used. Cheapest way would probably be order DVR and installation through DISH if you don't already have it ordering the protection plan may also save money.

I would say get a DPP44 switch if any of the receivers use a separator. The DP34 won't work with DPP separators, so if any of the receivers need two tuners, you would have to run 2 cables from the DP34 switch to get it to work, but only 1 cable and a DPP separator from the DPP44
