My cs5000 has the 83W bird in the list. I think you need to load the factory file from Coolsat USA - Official Web Site of Free To Air Satellite Receivers .
You will need a straight thru ( as opposed to a null modem) rs-232 cable to load it.

Another option is "MENU" "SYSTEM SETTING" "DATABASE RESET" "FACTORY SET" , The security PIN is 0000 . This will possibly get your 83W sat back. The best option, though, is to load the factory firmware.
:)

If all you want to do is add a satellite do this
-Install
-Dish setup
-press "OK" and scroll down to the end. There are a couple empty satellites (they say "0.0E")...select one and enter sat info (LNB LO, SINGLE or UNiversal, diseqc settings, etc). red button can change the name
-back out (save) and then go to manual scan
-enter a known TP and save

If you need to use a motor then go to Motorized setup, scroll down to Diseqc motor, select USALS...then you can enter the "83.0W" for the satellite and save it. If a fixed dish, then no need for the motorized option ;)
