How to hold your Dish Plus LNB

It is probably mishandling, as in holding the entire bracket by one of the side LNBs.

But you'd think a good human design engineer would look at it and say, 'You know, people are going to pick this up by one of the wing LNBs so we should make those arms strong enough to not break if they do that.'

Indeed, you would think that. I'm not calling Dish's engineering flawless by any means. Considering 1/2 of an inch on dish alignment can lose signal entirely, I still contend that finesse is key.

i think maybe the new vertion is out. looking at mine it dosnt look so bad. the metal is so light and strange feeling. but should hold up with caution. the heat issue has been going on for a couple of years i only noticed it this summer when temp really climbed to 119deg. i wonder what the design states on all these problems?
