The State of Utah wants to sue the BCS under the Sherman Anti-Trust Law. Maybe that's what needs to happen to get a college football playoff system.

Except that Utah was in the BCS this year. Therefore they really don't have any standing. The State of Utah wants to sue the BCS under the Sherman Anti-Trust Law. Maybe that's what needs to happen to get a college football playoff system.

Yes, but I also remember the 2004 undefeated Auburn team as well. The BCS didn't do anything for them.I'm sorry, but I like the BCS.
It's better than the old system.
Remember the Penn State-Nebraska undefeated controversy of 1994?
These days, it'd be settled.

Actually, this is exactly the way it works with the AP poll, still. The AP isn't affiliated with the BCS and the voters decided who was best.Under the old system, everything would have been settled.
At the end of New Years Day, humans would have decided who had the best record against the best competiton. Simple. Fair. Historic. Didn't win. Upgrade your sechedule and go undefeated.
The BcS was set up to fix one problem. A "problem" that happened only once every 10 years or so. Two undefeated teams from conferences that was "tied" to different bowls.
Its a solution withot a problem.
But that's the problem. It's still arbitrary. If the NFL did that the SB would be the Giants vs. the Titans. The idea that people or computers can determine who the best 2 teams are is laughable. The BCS was setup to match the two best teams for a national championship playoff. That's not the purpose of the AP poll.
Just to play Devil's Advocate, maybe it should be.But that's the problem. It's still arbitrary. If the NFL did that the SB would be the Giants vs. the Titans. ...
