How to resume recording show

How do I resume a show that is being recorded and I started to watch it. Often when I watch sport events and get to live, I switch to watch something else for a while. I would like to resume previously watch event that is still recording but the only thing that I get is VIEW and START OVER. This is the first DVR, and I had many, that is not offering resume after returning from a different show.

You can't. If you stop watching something that is currently recording, resume is not an option when you return.

Quit the first recording and start a new one from that point.
