How to sign up for HD free for life & 3 mos. of HBO/Showtime

Hi, I have been with Dish for several yrs. I pay for Top 250 chs., DVR- 722, HD signal- $10/mo. and insurance.

I saw an ad on TV for Free HD signal for life with 3 mos. of free HBO/Showtime. I am on a month to month and like Dish, but after talking with a rep he said I can only sign up for the promo ONLINE.

I went online to my acct. and clicked on Promos. I could not find this offer anywhere. I am willing to sign another contract & already have autopay and paperless billing.

Does any current subscriber know how to get this promo? I sure can't find it anywhere online @ the Dish site. Thanks all.

I am pretty sure the 3 months free promo requires a new contract.

To get the free HD, just login to your account online and remove HD Platinum.

If I remove Platinum will my programming change? I have the 250 pack.
When I checked on the HD for Life it says my account is already activated.

Does your online account show HD For Life activated?

If it does, and you are paying $10/month- that is for platinum.

You should be able to get the HD channels for free if you are not getting the Platinum channels. As for HBO and Showtime free for 3 months, you might be able to get it if you renew a contract. I would go online an start a chat with a rep to see what you can get.

I just talked to a rep. I have Gold HD. She said the HBO/Sho. promo is through her and I was shown how to get HD for life online. They want a 2 yr. or a 1 time $99 payment for HD for life. I also read I will lose HD Theatre by taking HD for life. I don'r really watch that ch. anyway, so I will have the pay chs. in about 15 mins. I'm thinking that paying $99 is better than a 2 yr. contract. The HD would cost me $240 over 2 yrs. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi, I called Dish- got a nice rep who gave me HBO/Shotime free for 3 mos. I went to the page in my acct. regarding free HD for life. Only 1 catch- I will lose HD Theatre if I sign up for "Free".

That ch. is in some other HD pkg. so I'm leaving it alone for now. I did like the $99 option vs. 2 yrs. contract for HD For Life. I never cared to be obligated to anyone in any contract. I'm on mo. to mo. & am quite happy with my 722 DVR & programming.

i thought hbo/showtime free for 3 months require a new commitment

I've had Cin. for 3 yrs. for 1 cent/yr. for the same promo. They sent me a letter about 6 mos. ago saying the promo ended, but it's still on and I have never been charged for Max. other than the penny.

Does anyone know what Pkg. HD Theatre is in, what chs. are in it, and how much a month it costs? It turns out that I DO watch that ch. & if I go the Free for life route I will lose it.
