HR20-700 and HR20-100

I just had some service and the tech took away my HR20-700 and gave me an HR20-100.

What is the difference?

The new HR20-100 does not seem to work with my RF remote - and the IR remote take forever to just change the volume.

Is the HR20-700 newer and better?

The -700 and -100 suffixes identify the manufacturer. Features and functions may not be identical, but they should be very close.
