HR20-700 FX-HD recording problem

The last two times I have tried to record Always sunny in... on FX-HD I just get a grey screen. I can watch it live no problem and recording other programs on FX-HD such as The Shield, Sons of Anarchy and last night just as a test recorded part of date movie with no problems. I always have HR20 running the national stable software since it's the DVR I keep archives with. I just thought it very odd that it was the exact same program twice in a row that had a malfunction while recording or playback.

DirecTV offered to replace the HR20 DVR. As I am using an external HD with all the episodes of my favorite programs saved kind of reluctant to do it. But if it happens later this week don't see what choice I will have.
