HR20-700 Has Arrived in Washington DC

I just returned from BB in Tysons Corner VA with the new HR20.

COOL!:up Hope it works. The folks at D* keeps telling me that it will not work in this area. I dont understand that. Why not?

Only the MPEG4 portion would not work if you live in a DMA that does not yet have DirecTV provided MPEG4. Everything else will work fine. Once your DMA's MPEG4 HD is online then you will already be good to go. MPEG4 will also require the 5 LNB dish.

Directv is coming out in two weeks with mine, for $20 bucks.

This does work in the DC Metro area, the local channels included.
