Are there any differences between these to boxes and if so what are they?

Thanks,

Mark

Really not much, I think the biggest differences an external antenna for the RF remote control, two ethernet ports (only one active) and both coax and optical digital audio outputs. The HR20-100 also tends to get software upgrades a few weeks later then the HR20-700.

The 700 is said to run much hotter than the 100 and is physically a larger unit. The 100 has a known unfunctional RK antenna also. Still, I like my 100 and like the fact that it runs fairly cool.

Although my 700 runs at 122-127 deg. F, that hasn't appeared to cause any problems (I have had it for 9 months).

My 100 runs from 100-107F, pretty subsantial temp. difference for high end electronics that are suppose to be basically the same unit. Makes you wonder what accounts for this variation, ventilation?
