I've had a HR24 receiver for years. Friday, we had a close lightning strike. The router was blown as well as the outside board (fiber) and my TV's Hdmi ports as well as my AV receivers HDMI ports. The router and board were replaced. My Tivo, other TV's and computers connect wired through the router no problems.
However, the HR24 does not connect. When I try, it Quickley goes to the questions, like (can other devices connect) I tried resetting both many times. I changed cables etc. I also tried manual connection and have the same problem. I can see the IP address on the box but can't ping the receiver. I never looked before is there a way to connect by WIFI? The router is 5 and 2.4ghz and I can't log in to it, its blocked by my ISP.
Help Please

Pretty sure the HR24 can't do wireless.

Do you have a Genie (HR44, HR54, or HS17) in your setup? If not…

After plugging in the Ethernet cable into the HR24 do a red button restart and see if it will connect after it reboots.

The HR24 does not have built-in Wi‑Fi capability. It can only connect to the internet via wired Ethernet or coax — depending on your setup. A DECA adapter or the old Cinema Connection kit (CCK) would allow it to connect to a wired connection to your router, communicating through the coax connection to the DECA adapter.

AT&T and TPG finally close their sale.
