How fast does the the HR24-500 switch channels? This is where I have a problem with older units. I cant switch bewteen two games because the lag is about 8-10 seconds. Is this the latest HD DVR box that Direct Tv currently has? Do you know the difference between the HR24 and the HR24 MPEG 4? Thanks

The HR24 is mpeg4, as are all of the Directv branded boxes. The HR24 switches fast, certainly faster than it's predecessors.
