HR34 and AM21 power issue

I recently got an HR34 Genie. Have a AM21 connected to the Genie and all is well but the AM21 does not shut off when HR34 is shut down. AM21 worked a-ok when connected to HR24. Anyone out there with similar problem?

yes it that on all of hr34.

Yes that combo has this issue. I don't know if directv will ever fix this.

yup mentioned it back when I got my AM21/HR34 combo (back in February)

Honestly I don't think the AM21 ever turns off, it is just programmed to receive the blue light on/off from the receiver. That programming works on the HR2x but not on the HR34. I don't think there would be any power savings or anything of that nature.

I'M thinking eventually i will disable that led for the am21.
