Hughes DirecTiVo screens goes to snow

I have a Hughes DirecTiVo that I got in the Fall of 2001. A few times a day the screen will go to snow and make a static sound.

I am using an old RCA TV that is around 10 years old.

I *think* it happens when we are watching the DirecTiVo on channel 4 or from the Video Inputs. I know it happens when watching on channel 4 for sure.

It doesn't happen when watching the DVD player that is hooked up via video inputs.

Do you think it is my DirecTiVo or the TV?

Try putting the DVD player on input 4 and see what happens , if the DVD starts to have trouble, then you'll know.

How is it connected ? Cable wise ....
Make sure all the connections are still tight.
