I need to test a Hughesnet HM7000 system. I have a Super Buddy meter that has the latest software. I have the document for the Super Buddy meter on how to test a Hughesnet system but have a couple of questions.

Does the meter connect to the "sat in" connection or the sat out connection on the dish/LNB/transmitter?

How do you know which satellite and transponder the system is using? Does the web server on the modem contain this information?

The modem user interface does in fact identify the assigned satellite and transponder. The connection is made at the dish. Remove the RX cable from the LNB, attach the meter to the LNB, reattach the cable to the meter.
