The hurricane is still over 200 miles away and there has been damage at the
shore points.

Ocean City is flooded and all exit off of the island are closed.
North Atlantic City had the boardwalk rip up and debris has floated in 3
city blocks from the ocean.
Long Beach Island is flood and they expect the island to breech to the bay in a few
places, they are talking about another inlet.
The Atlantic City Express Way is closed and the GSP is closed south of exit
38.
Picture on the TV have shown massive beach erosion all along the NJ shore.

All this and the storm is still 8 to 10 hours away from land fall.

There is a large expectation of electric outage lasting days or weeks.

Last night we have experienced periods of heavy winds and rain, so far all
is well at our house.
The sustained winds are now at 20 to 25 MPH, with bands of rain passing
through.
It looks like the storm is intensifying and picking up strength (winds at 90
MPH) before it slams into the NJ shore.

Mike,
I notice you're at Barnaget, NJ ( Home of the Hardy Boys ). :) Lots of Yankee knowhow in that area. Good Luck ! :)
I once lived in Red Bank, NJ , and visited the Longbranch piers to fish for "stripers" . Nasty out there today !
