While waiting patiently for D* to launch out locals. We find out today we get 2 of the 4. This is very sad especially with all the hype they have been pushing here in the Joplin area about D* getting locals.

From the way I see it, now that I am moving. I should probably pick a location with all HD locals, and that plays teams I prefer to watch.

I see some people here in the Joplin area have moved to Tulsa, Ok
Can you still watch Midwest? Royals,Cardinals,Blues?
I was also thinking of moving to Kansas City.

Anywhere else I should look into Moving?

You'd have to make sure that wherever you "move" you need to be inside the footprint of that areas spot beam.

Have you given any thought about using an antenna?

So I assume this is how I check?
I went to lyngsat and found what satelite and transponder the channels are on.
IE Tulsa and Kansas City

If I recieve a strong signal for those TPs I can then move to that area?

Here is what I figured out...
Tulsa is on the 119 which I dont get.
Kansas City is on 101 TPs 4,5,9 (I recieve full signal)

101 is for SD locals. If you want HD locals, the chart I looked at shows the Kansas City stations on TPN 17 of the 99 satellite. If you check the signal strength, be sure to select "99(s)"

Looks like those are also on 99(s), on TPN 20.

FYI ... 64803 on the DirecTV site shows up as belonging to the Joplin market.
