We have been with Dish Network since last December.
Since May, we have had check switch problems with one
HD receiver. The problem only happens in the evening.
we can't lock 2 out of 3 (110, 119 or 129) satelites.
Sometimes, we can't lock any of the 3.

WE have had at least 10 technican visits in the last 3 weeks.
They have pretty much replaced all equipments. But when
they are here during the day, check switch works fine.
They are only changin equipments as a courtesy as they
can't replicate the problem.

The problem is only on one HD receiver and it happens mostly after 7pm.
It is as if there is an internal timer that times out at 7pm.

Of course, if we watch one channel thru out the evening, we won't have any issue. IF we switch to any other channel, the check switch error would occur.

The strange thing is, the other HD receiver works just fine.

Any advise?

I would replace or have them replace the cable going to that receiver. Is there a barrel connector on that cable? If there is, they must be rated to 3.0 Ghz not the 1.0 Ghz that cable uses.

Holland 3Ghz F81 - G-F81F
