I am not a Greanpeace advocate by any means, so this is not in support of those misguided individuals. I am one with nature and I respect it as a hunter, a fisherman, an observer, a protector and a steward. God gave man dominion over the animals to use them, but also to protect them!

I have always loved John Denver and this song, and this dedication to Jacques Cousteau is one of my all time favorites. I just wanted to share it with you.

Princess Diana

As I recall, Princess Diana passed away the same year that John Denver did. I was extremely saddened that either one had passed, but I was rather miffed at the total publicity that was given to the Princess and all that John got was a small headline. To be totally honest, I was rather angered at this. No one gave any special attention to John Denver at the time and that really pissed me off. John did more for ecology and humanity than the gold digging princess ever dreamed of, and he was given second page news. It just wasn't right.

I worked on one of John Denver's personal Lear jets repairing and maintaining and calibrating his weather radar system. Walrus probably worked on John's gyros for the same aircraft. I spoke to John on one occasion, personally. He was the most down to earth guy as anyone could be. He had many great ideas and knowledge of nature and the preservation of our natural resources. I do miss him.
