If I enable PTAT does it record with overruns or does it stop each program at exactly the one hour mark ? Also if I record two shows without enabling PTAT on my locals does it use just one tuner?

Don 't quote me ,but for the most part the auto hop cuts the recordings where they need to be. So if the show like Good wife is moved to a later hour the auto hop feature moves it the proper time and cuts off the stuff not needed. I haven't missed anything so far and I've had ptat and auto hop for over a couple of years now.

Make that the "big-4 channels" as of yet on one transponder and tuner. PTAT refers to Dish's sending a file or such with the timings for the big 4 in prime time. I suppose Dish could enable any 4 (or however many) channels on the same transponder but PTAT would only be the Local-Into-Local Big 4 with national timings. Unlikely to get overridden channels for such as basketball.
