This is how I understand the question:
Telephone I like our Sprint PCS setup with our Xlink BT adapter. I've had many POTS providers, used vonage and I like my sprint above them all.
Cable, never really known anything other than Charter and small local setups when cable was first starting to penetrate smaller markets, I'm sure all suck and excel in their own way
Satellite, I prefer Dish as a provider, but I probably watch my Dish HD package less than I watch FTA stuff
Internet, I have Charter HSI now, it's reliable and usually meets my advertised speeds. I had DSL from a telco and from an independent company, both were flakey for me and slow/expensive. In college, I craved something more than dial-up so badly that my roommate and I had an ISDN circuit put in to our apartment. It took forever for any HSI to reach our city and ISDN was such a nice experience at the time.
