Since we seem to have a bunch of techie's here, I thought I'd post the fact that the Internet Provider I worked for laid me off
on 3/19/2004. I'm hunting for a computer related job in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. I have 25+ years of experience on everything from microcomputers to mainframes.

Resume: http://www.lerctr.org/~ler/lerres3.html

Any hints/leads.etc welcome.

I can vouch for LER's work.

Not many people know this but LER is our Server Guru who keeps things running at SatelliteGuys. Please pass his info along if you can. :)

Nice resume. One question... why did you leave the Sr. Net Eng position?

Edit: Helps to read your post AFTER coffee. :)

I dont know anyone in TX, I do know that the market all over the country is hosed up. Have you tried third part contract vendors?

I was laid off by the company in a cost cutting move. They are laying off a bunch of people. I said as much in the opening
post :)

Cutting costs or moving jobs to foreign soil? :(

I only have contacts here in Washington State and a few in the DC area.

Cutting costs, as they are local to Dallas/Ft. Worth and a "service" busines.

I used to know a guy down there, his name was David Watts, I dont know if he is still around or not.

Try posting this over on www.certtutor.net, there are a lot of good IT guys in the TX area over there.

Good luck!!

Bill
