Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

I think it will be out on disk by Christmas. Not sure what the normal schedule is these days. John Wick 4 released in March and I got the disk copy a couple weeks ago.

SO- about when that movie makes it to disc…
The plan is Tuesday, Sept. 26 or Tuesday, Oct. 3.

VOD, as of now, is Aug 19 or 26, might be sooner since it is going to lose money at the theater.

It needs to make $900 million to just break even..

So, any guesses as to when “Dial” might be released on disc?

Tempted to try a theater One More Time. Only with iMax or LARGE screen, good sound, loungers and a “Beer” button.

I figure that will cost so much it’ll keep most teens and cell phoners away. And the floors will likely be less sticky.

Not sure they do any more

I don't do theaters very often anymore. My ladyfriend insists on occasion. We went with another couple to a 5:00 showing and it was $10 a piece. Not too bad I think, and the beer was $8.

Next up Mission Impossible I was informed. ;)
We MAY see one in theaters a year, and sunday did just that.

The rub for me is, its overpriced anyway, but I bought our tickets online before hand on friday. When we got there and scanned the QR code, it appears I didnt change the date for the viewing and my bought tickets were for friday.

So I ended up buying three tickets twice, plus the overpriced snacks.

I was not a happy camper, but I had nobody to blame but myself.

Of course they still do discs.

Why are you back to posting erroneous information here on this forum?

My movie going changed a lot the last 10 years. I think this was the first movie I've been to in a theater since Solo. I can't remember going to any others. It was just a spur of the moment decision with girlfriend. Will most likely be the last for a while.

Since the nephews were old enough, it became something I always did with my dad and nephews. Since my dad passed last year and the nephews are now grown and starting their own families and careers. I just prefer my own big screen, surround sound and popcorn.

This will be the first Indy film I won't see in theaters. Theater going isn't as good as my own living room. My home screen isn't as big but it's mighty big, the sound isn't as loud but it's mighty loud. I can pause and rewind, and the popcorn only costs me about 50 cents.

Since you are just a few feet from your screen, your field of view may make it appear as large as a more distant movie screen.

Better, probably, since so many theaters have gone to screens so small they used to only show porn on.

When will Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny will be released to Disney + streaming?

6 months to a year from now?

Going to movie theater is way overpriced and reeks of noisy teenagers with cell phone, movie theater don't even have closed captioning.

It's better at home have your foods and beer or wine with bathroom breaks with pausing the movie!:biggrin:popcorn:hatsoff:usa
I agree. Especially now with affordable large screen TV's and theater like sound systems.

Actually, there was one in downtown NOLA that got raided. TV gave a tour of the place. SEE-DEE!

Except the wife can't demand they turn down the volume. Personally, the only possible justification for this is to hand off the torch to another Indiana. I wasn't particularly interested in the last one. It ran its course. There is humor in the "it belongs in a museum"... when they mean pilfered and put in a Western European or American museum and not returned to its nation of origin museum.

Started watching last night, now I love the first 3 and have watched them multiple times, I even liked the 4th.

This one, I am just bored watching it, started falling asleep at 8:30 ( and I need sleeping aids since I have bad insomnia).

Harrison Ford plays it as old and grumpy, which I believe is his normal personality in real life.

I read that producers announced that they were producing one final Indiana Jones film. It is already set to star Harrison Ford. The plot of the final film will consist of Indiana Jones going into museums to steal rare ancient antiquities he originally donated and return them to where he had stolen them all from.

Finished it.

Just plain awful, a lot complain that #4 killed the franchise, this one makes #4 look so much better.

I can see why Spielberg decided not to direct, read the script and got out.

Give it 20 years, after Ford is gone, for a reboot.
