inside antenna options?

I have a 2000 Chevy pickup and was wondering if there are any options for mounting an antenna inside the front windshield? I have seen the Sigma,but was wondering if putting the OEM antenna on the dash would work?

A lot of people have very good luck with the antenna mounted on the dashboard. The only thing you really give up is the marginal areas (trees, tall buildings, etc) where the signal would not drop out with being placed as suggested by XM and Sirius; on the roof of the car. On the dash has a better chance of dropping out in these areas.

I have a pt cruiser convertible. Since I can not mount it on the roof I have the antenna on the dash. It does an ok job. Not as good as when I had it mounted on my last car on the roof but it gets the job done.
