I lost my 61.5 reception this past winter, and ended up unhooking it. I redid the Check Switch with fewer satetllites. I have a dpp44 switch. So I have 110, 119, 129 and 61.5. Today with the nice weather I unhooked the other Satellites and tuned in the 61.5 dish. I can't get the Check Switch to recognize it though after hooking everything back up. Is there another way to get the receiver to recognize it? Maybe my switch is bad? Please help me if you know.

If it was disconnected, it has been exposed to the elements and probably corroded.

Fine grit sandpaper or steel wool or such.

Thank you!

First I sandpapered the coax at the lnb, and ran check switch. No luck there. Then I cleaned it at the switch, and ran check switch again. Success, thank you! I probably never lost my line of sight on the dish, but instead got some weather into the switch connection. Now I don't have to wait for my HD locals to get turned on the 129 satellite either, if ever. Thanks again for your help!
