I am trying to install Dish 500 in my apartment. I am sure I am pointing it to the correct angle but the problem is that there is a tree that might be partially blocking the line of sight. I cannot even get a partial signal. I have 2 questions:
1- Can I buy some sort of amplifier to boost the signal in order to overcome the tree problem ?
2- Is the SuperDish better in terms of signal strength?

Thanks a lot.

Where do you live? what's your zip? As for an amp...amps are used to boost infeed signals on long cable runs so I doubt if it would help. As for a super dish...if your having trouble with a Dish 500 a SD will be much harder to install. Is the 500 skewed properly? I rarely get no signal at all, usually you get either 110 or 119...peace...

HDMI connection

Dish 301 to DirectTV dish...
