I have a quick question. I am getting the 622 installed right now as well as a dish 1000. Will the dish 1000 allow me to receive the Local HD channels when they are turned on in Raleigh. I would like to know because if not I would like to get it setup now for success later.

When I ordered my 622, I was told you will automatically receive the HD Locals when they become available. You shouldn't have to call or anything, they will already be there when they're available. To answer your question, I think the Dish 1000 is what you need in order to get the HD Locals.
the only issue would be if they put the Raleigh locals on 61.5 instead of one of 110/119/129.
