I've had my VIP722 receiver hooked up to broadband for months now with no issues... this morniing when I woke up there was an error message on my HOME COMPUTER that said IP CONFLICT... then I noticed my VIP722 was showing NOT CONNECTED to broadband... hmmm... nothing changed!!! How did this IP conflict just pop up? I reset everything... VIP722, router, modem, PC..... same thing... any ideas?

Typically this happens when you have assigned an IP to a device and still have DHCP server running that isn't aware of that IP being statically assigned. If you have assigned an IP to your computer, you have to make sure to adjust the range of whatever device is acting as DHCP server (usually your cable or DSL modem/router) so that the range of addresses the DHCP server is allowed to hand out does not include the static IP of the computer.

If you've assigned an IP to the 722, the same concept applies. Adjust the DHCP range.
