And as usual, iSupply is trying to preempt reading its teardown as BOM=cost and being called stupid.

iSuppli is at pains to point out - not that you wouldn't have guessed this anyway - that the parts price doesn't factor in the cost of putting the bits together, developing the software, boxing it all up and sending it to far flung corners of the globe, and taking out expensive ads to persuade us all to buy one.

But I think they know full well it won't help...
