Is A Para Todos LNB Good For The Present FTA Useage

A quick search seems to indicate it was for DirecTV frequencies. If that's the case, it won't work for FTA. But I'll let someone else chime in that may be more familiar :)

Can my Para Todos comparable LNB be good enough to be used for the group of FTA satellites in use now.

Thanks

nope
Its circular polarity whereas you need linear.

The LNB is just a old Directv LNB when they had the single LNB setup. The Para Todos one (at the time) was on the Phase II dish that was for 119 satellite

Thanks Icegerg,

Right after Katrina hit the New Orleans area, I was given two Para Todos LNB gave one away and kept one for myself hoping to use it someday. NO LUCK.

Don't laugh too hard, but is there anyhing that can be done to make the LNB Linear compatible, such as modifying ( adding or subtracting) something inside of it. I also was able to come across two Dish500 twin LNBs.

Converting circular t linear?
Yes, and it's been described here on the forum.
Changing the Local Oscillator frequency down to the FTA band?
Well, some have given it a shot.
.
I can't recommend either.
Too easy to use that massive pile of good stuff you have, and avoid the pain.
If I had as many toys as you, I would consider myself very lucky.
(and throw away the JUNK!) ;)
