BTW- I'd be interested to see if lebrat321's system situation has changed.

In terms of the temperature, yes, these units do run warm. I have mine in a cabinet that is well ventilated and have not had an issue until yesterday. The cooling pad idea is an interesting one though. I'm considering trying it, even though my issues seem to have gone away for now.

In the last week, I have noticed what I thought were small glitches (freezing) and just now has went out completely again. Tried to reset and getting the noise again and stuck on self test. If I can get it to come back on, I will post temps. Plenty of space around the receiver for airflow but feels warm. The solution I am leaning toward now is we will be moving in a few weeks, I can move one of the H24 receivers to the living room and do without dvr for a while and when we move have my wife sign up for a new system and get a working genie and wireless clients with new customer discounts.

Receiver has been back on around 20 minutes and currently at 100 degrees. I will monitor it and see if it goes up
