Other tps on 30w seem unaffected, but Supershow and Superland seem very weak this morning and last night. Anyone else notice the low signal strength? Anyone with a bigger dish than mine still picking them up?

Supershow and Superland are at:
FR 12175 V
SR4.500
4128
4129
and
4384
4385
respectively.

I am getting 50% SQ, but the screen is black, and the Pansat comes up scrambled or bad channel.

They may have gone scrambled. :(

I've been checking on it too. Seems like the signal has dropped. I'm getting around 28-30 on a Pansat and all the other channels are considerably higher.

I tried putting in another satellite entry and moving east/west with that tp's info just to see if maybe it hadn't moved to another nearby bird a degree or two away. No sight of that. My guess is they figured out that we could see the channels here and decided to drop signal quality so only Cuba could see it or something, similar to the way that some of the network muxes seem to do on occassion, dropping quality in hopes that people with smaller dishes can't see it.

SQ has not changed since I put the 75e Primestar fixed dish on Hispsat. I am still getting 45% SQ.

The screen is black and no audio, and the Pansat says bad or scrambled signal. :(

Not likely , it's not worth the steep fines or jail time for Cubans.

FTA is really underground in Cuba, locations for dish setups must be camouflaged or hidden out of sight, years ago even special OTA antennas were under the careful eye, seems some TV stations can be picked up on Cuba's northern coastline and the goverment is very controlling as to what citizens can watch.

A look at capatalism including our commercials are a real treat for ordinary Cubans, it's like wow check out that Silverado or I could really use that rotisserie oven.

Once I went to a packed moviehouse in Cuba and they were showing a taped TV program including commercials, the audience was in awe.
The TV was a 20 inch and sounded like a tin can at full volume, I was like in the 30th row , now looking back I can definitely see the appeal of FTA to Cubans.

I have a coolsat 6000 and a blind scan did'nt pick it up but if I put the tp in manually it finds it. The picture breaks up a lot though, do think it didn't pick it up do to the weak signal or what else am I missing?

Now that is really strange.

Following dchenders idea, I rescanned the transponder frequency leaving everything else auto and now the picture and audio is back and the highest SQ I have ever had on that TP. 60% SQ.

FR 12175 V
SR 4.500
259
260

I should have checked the VID and AID before I rescanned.

Really strange, but I am glad it's back! :D

I rescanned too and it came back in. I think frequency may be a smidge different,
maybe a point or two, and service name actually now says Supershow and Superland - it used to only be something like 1 and 2 for me.

Whoo - that was a close one.

I just check it and took careful note of the old PID's, which were:
12174 V 4500, 4128/4129/4128
12174 V 4500, 4384/4385/4384
The new PID's are:
12174 V 4500, 259/260/259
12174 V 4500, 264/265/264
So, the obviuos conclusion is, they've made PID changes.
These new PID's give me a SQ of 60%, the old ones were 30%.
