Is there a special splitter for making 1 satellite line into 2 lines?

If you have a swm system then any swm splitter will work

You can only split a swm type line. Do you know if you have a swm setup? What is it you are trying to do?

From a previous thread it looks like the OP has older SD equipment.

if its for SD equipment, you can use a 2x4 multiswitch to turn 2 lines into 4, but not 1 into 2.

This might actually be a good thing and help the TS. Older DIRECTV® equipment support(ed?) band stacking. So you can use stackers and de-stackers with a single line to run multiple legacy tuners.
